Cignus is supporting the most recent Florida Aviation System Plan Update for the Florida Department of Transportation which assesses Florida’s current airport and aviation infrastructure through the year 2043. As part of this support, our team is:
- Leading the airport and aviation system inventory data collection and analysis task which includes collecting, merging, and analysis airport information from various FAA, FDOT, individual airport, and public data sources
- Preparing, distributing, and managing data for a survey effort across all Florida airports included in the Aviation System Plan
- In charge of GIS analysis and visualization tasks that include population drive time and impact area coverage analyses as well as other visualizations of airport status and characteristics
- Leading a planning task focused on digital transformation and dashboard development which identifies specific data management and visualization needs across various stakeholder levels from the FDOT Aviation Office, to districts, and ultimately airports across the state of Florida
