Cignus Delivers Spaceport Analysis Toolkit to FAA

Cignus delivered the Spaceport Analysis Toolkit (SAT) - a cloud-based prototype for evaluating proposed U.S. spaceport sites - to the FAA Office of Commercial Space Transportation.
Cignus delivered the prototype Spaceport Analysis Toolkit (SAT) to the FAA's Office of Commercial Space Transportation (AST). This cloud-based platform uses 3D mapping and GIS tools to give potential spaceport operators early feasibility advice based on NAS infrastructure, public safety concerns, and environmental impacts.
The SAT analyzes proposed spaceport sites for horizontal, vertical, and reentry scenarios using geospatial data from the FAA, DHS, and other agencies. Cignus developed a Node.js/AngularJS frontend with custom Cesium 3D mapping, backend APIs for GIS analytical functions, and an Integrated IAM system.

"The SAT tool bridges the gap between commercial space ambitions and FAA regulatory processes by giving applicants data-driven feasibility assessments early in the licensing lifecycle."
