Cignus Presents "Spatial Intelligence for Aviation Operations" at Airportech Miami 2026

Cignus presented at the Airportech International Symposium in Miami, showcasing its geospatial aviation safety platform and Airport Safety Digital Twin under the session "Spatial Intelligence for Aviation Operations."
Cignus Consulting attended and presented at the Airportech International Symposium in Miami, Florida, one of the aviation industry's leading forums for airport technology innovation. Cignus delivered a technical presentation titled "Spatial Intelligence for Aviation Operations," highlighting the firm's geospatial analytics capabilities and Airport Safety Digital Twin platform to an international audience of airport operators, technology leaders, and aviation industry professionals.
The presentation covered Cignus's geospatial aviation safety work — including FAR Part 77 obstruction evaluation, line-of-sight analysis, and 3D terrain and surface modeling delivered through the Helios platform. Attendees were introduced to Cignus's OEAAA case management capabilities and how the firm integrates geospatial data with real-time airspace impact studies to support airport development decisions and FAA regulatory compliance.
A central focus of the session was the Cignus Airport Safety Digital Twin — developed in collaboration with NASA under the SBIR program and built on the Helios AWS cloud platform. The presentation demonstrated how Cesium-based 3D visualization, real-time ATC surveillance integration, and AI/ML-powered conformance monitoring combine to deliver continuous safety risk awareness across airport surface and terminal-area operations. With the recent award of a NASA SBIR Phase II contract, the session also outlined Cignus's roadmap toward a commercially deployable safety monitoring platform for airports nationwide.
