The Department of Transportation (DOT) Volpe Center awarded Scitor Corporation and its subcontractors, the Volpe Operations, Research, and Analysis (ORA) contract.
An innovative Federal fee-for-service organization, the Volpe National Transportation Systems Center (Volpe Center), part of the U.S. DOT’s Research and Innovative Technology Administration (RITA), is an internationally recognized center of transportation and logistics expertise. The Center has eight Centers of Innovation which focus on cross-cutting transportation, research, education, innovation, and other multimodal issues and offer their services to both DOT and non-DOT organizations.
Vinnie Khera, Cignus’s President/CEO, details this strategic win for Cignus. “As a small disadvantaged business partner on the Scitor team we are excited about gaining a spot on the Volpe contracting vehicle. This win will not only allow Cignus to gain new work and new DOT customers, but also give current customers another contracting vehicle option to utilize our services.”
