Leesburg, VA – Cignus, a leading provider of transportation planning and engineering to government and commercial clients, has been awarded a contract to support the Port Authority of New York New Jersey in performing planning studies for the Sothern Quadrant of John F. Kennedy International Airport. Cignus led the team with our partners Landrum & Brown as well as WJD & Associates.

The Cignus team is slated to provide expertise in performing analysis of the impacts of on-going construction, airline relocation as well as demand changes at JFK as part of the JFK redevelopment effort. “We at Cignus are very pleased and honored to be selected to continue our support to JFK Redevelopment and the Aviation Planning Department at the Port Authority”, said Vinnie Khera, President & CEO. The New York area is one of the main arteries of the entire National Airspace System and understanding how each proposed construction proposal affects the overall airport and how they translate into economic performance indicators is one of the main keys to sustaining the future growth in this metropolitan area, said Khera.
